Barcelona

Tuesday, November 8 Barcelona
We disembarked to explore Barcelona. We too the metro train to Gaull Park, an amazing park designed by the famous architect, Gaudi. It was full of caves, columns, gingerbread houses and other mosaics. From there we followed a map and walked to Sagrada Familia, the famous church that was started by Gaudi in 1882. They expect it to be finished in 2025. Gaudi died in 1926. He was hit by a tram, while inspecting the work being done on this church. We took another Metro to the top of Las Ramblas, where we found some more spectacular Gaudi buildings. For lunch, we had some tapas in a local restaurant then we strolled down Las Ramblas, toward the Chris Columbus Monument. Jamaica bought a Flamenco dress before we got back on the ship.
