We explored a Roman Amphitheatre from 200 BC, built in the days of Hannibal. We climbed all over it. There is no OH&S in Spain! We strolled down the main street afterwards, until Gwen collapsed… literally! It was very scary. We had to ask somebody to call an ambulance. The police were very helpful and they organised a taxi for the kids and I to go to the hospital to find Gwen.
It turned out that she had a reaction to the sea-sickness tablets. She was held in observation for a couple of hours in Santa Lucia hospital. The doctor did and ECG and everything was ok. We were able to go back to the ship at 2pm for a late lunch. Gwen was told to rest for 24 hours. We had a siesta, then had some fine dining in the La Fontaine Restaurant. Zeke did not wake up in time for dinner, so he got his own dinner in the Lido.
Gwen is a bit sore and has some bruises from where she fell, so she had an early night. The kids went to kids club and I went to watch the EWF concert under the stars on the big screen on the Lido deck. It has been full on for almost 7 weeks now, so next week we are all looking for a rest with seven days at sea.
