Philipsburg, St Maarten

Sunday, November 27 Philipsburg, St Maarten
Today, we ventured into St Maarten. It was a 20 min walk into town, and luckily we had our umbrella, because the rain was on its way. I guess we’ve been lucky so far because we’ve only seen rain 5 days out of 63. However, in this place when it rains, it really pours! Gwen and Jamaica wanted to check out the jewelry stores, so I took Zeke to meet “The Yoda Guy”. His name was Nick Maley, and he was a make-up artist who designed Yoda, the ewoks, the tusken raiders and darth vader. He gave us a private tour of his star wars museum, and told us his story of how he got to work on such an amazing movie. He told Zeke that he should never give up on his dreams, and with persistence he could achieve anything.
We met Gwen and Jamaica at MacDonalds, then we walked back to the ship for lunch.
