Malaga should be renamed shoe city… every second shop was a shoe store. Gwen was in heaven. She tried on so many pairs of shoes. Malaga is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and Antonio Banderas. We took a walking tour and our guide took us through the market, where we bought some almonds and sampled some fruit and olives. We were taken to Antonio Banderas’ summer home, Picasso’s school and birthplace.
Our guide, Pako, was very funny and he gave us much history of the town. We saw another roman theatre and a Phoenician fortress before finishing in a bar and sampling some Malaga wine. The bar had photos of many celebrities who have been there, including Sean Connery, Tony Blair and of course Antonio Banderas.
We took the kids back to the boat so they could go to kids club. After dinner, Gwen and I went back out to Malaga, and walked 2km so find Malaga’s biggest shopping centre. I bought a suit jacket from Primark. I also bought some slippers, but they were too small, so Zeke was happy because they fit him! Gwen bought Zeke and Jamaica some clothes from Benetton.
