Olympia, Greece

Tuesday, October 25 Olympia
We had to find our own way to Olympia which was 50km from the port. We caught a train, and somehow found both the ancient Olympic museum as well as the archaeological site. We saw the location that they use to light the Olympic torch every four years, and also the site of another of the 7 ancient wonders of the world. This time it was the statue of Zeus dating back to 453BC.
We found the stadium, and Gwen and the kids had a race along the 200m track. I made it a fair event, by giving Jamaica and Ezekiel handicaps. We explored the sit for a couple of hours, then made our way back to the train, so we could have lunch on the boat. After lunch, the kids went to kids club, and we explored the local port, Katakolon.
