Tortola, British Virgin Islands

the Capital city if BVI is Tortola. There was not much in town, but the people were very polite. In the distance we could hear music, and could see what looked like a carnival being set up.
The music sounded very good and grew louder as we approached. Gwen said that they must be a really good cover band of UB40. We walked into the fenced off area toward the huge stage where lo and behold there was Ali Campbell, the lead singer of UB40. There were maybe twenty spectators dancing and listening at the front of the stage as they rehearsed. We couldn’t believe it as we knew all the songs that they were playing. When Ali stopped singing, the band kept playing.
We followed Ali off stage and introduced ourselves. He was a really nice guy. He was only in Tortola for one night for some festival. The concert was at 6pm, so we couldn’t see it as our boat sailed at 6pm. He let us take a photo, then security told us to get out.
We found a group of locals playing cricket. I introduced myself as Ricky Ponting. They invited me to play and I had the opportunity to play cricket under the palm trees in the west indies. They let me have a bat and a bowl. I got Gwen to take a photo of me with all the boys, then we set off to find a wifi café so we could upload all the photos from a very exciting day.
